It is easy to look at these two platforms and see a big price difference be the main story. WellnessLiving costs $69 a month at its lowest tier, while Walla costs $320. However, what you get from those two price points tells an interesting story.
WellnessLiving or Walla: which is right for your studio?
If you are only choosing between these two studios, there are some key things to consider.
Choose Walla if you run one boutique studio, need your whole team logged into the same system, and reserving a specific bike or reformer is part of how you operate.
Choose WellnessLiving if you mix appointments with classes, want a rewards program, or need an inexpensive way in with room to grow.
Walla will cost meaningfully more, but for the right studio, it can earn the difference.
What are the key differences between WellnessLiving and Walla?
- Walla charges $320 a month per location for Core and $599 for Pro, billed monthly with no annual option.
- WellnessLiving publishes four tiers: Starter $69, Business $199, BusinessPro $349, and a call-us Enterprise plan.
- Walla includes unlimited users on every plan. WellnessLiving’s $69 Starter tier allows one staff member; unlimited staff starts at $199.
- Neither platform includes a website. Walla’s is a $199/mo add-on or a $2,800 one-time build; WellnessLiving’s Presence site is an add-on on all four tiers.
- WellnessLiving includes data migration free on every tier. Walla charges $429 for guided migration, and its free onboarding tier excludes migration support entirely.
How much does Walla cost?
Walla publishes two tiers: Core at $320 a month per location and Pro at $599, both billed monthly. They also have an unpublished custom tier. Per-location pricing means a second site pays the full rate again rather than a discounted add-on seat, which is why $320 is very different for a one-room studio than to a three-site operation. There is no annual discount like other competitors offer. Enterprise is custom, built on Pro, with volume discounts per additional location.
How much does WellnessLiving cost compared to Walla?
WellnessLiving’s four tiers are Starter at $69 a month, Business at $199, BusinessPro at $349, and a call-us Enterprise plan. Starter includes one staff seat and free data migration, but excludes the rewards program, marketing tools, and lead management. All of those three features begin at Business, the tier a working studio actually needs.
Why is Walla so much more expensive?
Walla’s $320 plan gives you unlimited users, WallaPredict retention scoring, and equipment or spot booking at the entry tier, none of which WellnessLiving offers openly at any price. Walla is also a narrower, newer company building specifically for boutique fitness rather than the many verticals WellnessLiving spans.
The gap is also smaller than you would think. WellnessLiving’s tier with unlimited staff is $199, not $69, which makes the honest comparison $320 against $199.
What actually costs the same amount to run?
Entry prices tell you almost nothing here, because the three entry tiers buy completely different things. The comparison that actually helps is the tier where you can get your whole team onto the platform. We added ourselves for reference as a lower-cost-to-entry option for non-enterprise studios.
| Platform | Tier with adequate staff seats | What still costs extra |
|---|---|---|
| OfferingTree | Studio Max, $225/mo, unlimited team members | Website and unlimited on-demand included. Custom branded whitelabeled app is an add on. |
| WellnessLiving | Business, $199/mo, unlimited staff | Website, on-demand video, and white-label app are all add-ons, none priced publicly |
| Walla | Core, $320/mo per location, unlimited users already included | Website $199/mo, branded app $149/mo, two-way texting $100/mo, full marketing suite only at Pro ($599), migration $429 one-time |
Built that way, a mid-sized studio wanting a website, on-demand video, and its whole team on the platform pays roughly $225 with OfferingTree, $199 plus two unpriced add-ons with WellnessLiving, and around $519 with Walla once the website is added.
The website is the line item all three share, and the reason ours is built into every tier. Jen, a former WellnessLiving customer, hired a separate web designer when using them for exactly that reason: her software included no real site, so she paid someone else by the hour to change her own class times.
Where is WellnessLiving better than Walla?
WellnessLiving spans far more business types than Walla, from spas to salons to martial arts belt tracking, with real multi-location and enterprise reporting at the top end. Free data migration and onboarding on every tier, including the $69 Starter plan, beats Walla’s approach outright. Especially for smaller studios, this pricing makes a lot more sense.
Where is Walla better than WellnessLiving?
Unlimited users on every plan, including the entry tier, is a real advantage if you have several instructors to get onto the system. WallaPredict’s retention scoring and Book-a-Spot’s equipment-level booking are included from Core rather than upsold later, which matters specifically for reformer Pilates and indoor cycling. Walla also adds no platform fee on top of standard Stripe processing, stated plainly on the same page that prices everything else, which matches how we handle it.
What term are you actually signing up for with Walla?
Walla’s pricing page does not fully agree with itself. Its pricing cards state a flat monthly rate with no term commitment shown. Its FAQ, on the same page, says “Walla offers a few different term lengths, and your pricing reflects the one you choose.” Both statements can be true, but the page never reconciles them, which leaves the actual answer with a consultant.
Ask about it before signing with either vendor: what is the term length, in writing? What happens to the price when that term ends? What does cancellation require? OfferingTree’s terms are month to month, cancel anytime, with a 14-day refund window on annual plans. These platforms should be able to give you a similar answer.
What does switching actually involve?
When it comes to migration, there is a difference between the platform experiences. WellnessLiving includes data migration and onboarding free on every tier, including Starter. Walla charges $429 for its Signature onboarding, which its own page says most customers choose, and states a typical migration takes four to eight weeks. Its free Essentials tier excludes migration support entirely.
How do WellnessLiving and Walla compare side by side?
| Walla | WellnessLiving | |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | $320/mo per location (Core) | $69/mo (Starter) |
| Billing unit | Per location | Per business |
| Staff seats at entry | Unlimited | 1 |
| Transaction fee | None, Stripe standard only | Not published |
| On-demand video | Included, every tier | Add-on, every tier (ours is included) |
| Marketing suite | Pro only ($599/mo) | Business tier and up |
| Migration | $429 one-time (Signature) | Free, every tier |
| Support at entry | Live chat, under 3-min response (vendor claim) | Community and live chat only |
| Term length | Varies; not reconciled on the pricing page | Not published |
Who should choose WellnessLiving vs. Walla?
If you run one boutique studio, need your whole team in the software without per-seat charges, and want retention scoring and spot booking without climbing a tier, Walla is the right call. Remember to budget the full number you are quoted in writing, not Core’s headline.
If you mix appointments with classes, want a rewards program, or need an affordable way in, WellnessLiving fits. Start your budget at Business rather than Starter unless you are really small and just starting out.
Either way, ask both what your first year costs in total: subscription, add-ons, onboarding fee, and what happens to the price once any term ends.
Is OfferingTree a good fit if you’re choosing between WellnessLiving and Walla?
Not on every count. Walla includes unlimited users on its entry plan, while our Studio Starter caps at three team members and unlimited begins at Studio Max, $225.
WellnessLiving’s rewards program has no match here either.
Our website, however, is included on every tier rather than sold separately. The rest of the studio toolset works the same way.
On the questions this page keeps telling you to ask: we’re month to month, cancel anytime, with a 14-day free trial, and a real person handles your migration. Studio plans include the OT Cooperative, our community of studio owners working through the same decisions you are.
We care about your success as a smaller team ourselves. Our free studio coaching calls, ongoing free marketing and studio education, and human-led product and support teams are proof of that.

Kay’s story: why a boutique studio owner passed on Walla
Kay owns Hot Yoga Playa, a boutique Bikram studio she opened in February 2024 and runs with two teachers plus herself. She is also a business coach who has advised other studios on software, which gives her evaluation more weight than a single account. She looked at Walla and passed:
“Like Walla, it’s just way more than we needed.”
Her reasoning extended to the add-ons. She did not want to pay “a hundred, $200 extra a month” for texting features she would not use, which fairly describes what two-way texting and a branded app add to Walla’s bill above Core. At her size, that is real money for tools that would sit unused.

So, which should you choose: WellnessLiving or Walla?
- Choose Walla for one boutique studio needing its whole team in the software, with retention scoring and spot booking included rather than upsold.
- Choose WellnessLiving for a studio mixing appointments with classes or wanting a rewards program. Budget $199, not $69.
- Ask both what the first year costs in full: subscription, add-ons, onboarding fee, and what happens when the term ends.

Frequently asked questions about WellnessLiving vs Walla
Is Walla the same company as Walla Walla or the Walla social app?
No. Walla Software, Inc. makes studio management software for boutique fitness, yoga, and Pilates businesses, at hellowalla.com. It shares a name with a city in Washington, a social app, and an Israeli news site, which is why search engines sometimes return the wrong results entirely.
Is Walla worth almost five times WellnessLiving's starting price?
Sometimes, and the comparison isn’t as lopsided as it looks. Walla’s $320 plan includes unlimited users, retention scoring, and equipment booking. WellnessLiving’s $69 plan allows one staff member and no marketing tools; its comparable tier is $199. The real gap is closer to $320 against $199, not $320 against $69.
Is Walla or WellnessLiving easier to switch to?
WellnessLiving, on cost. It includes data migration and onboarding free on every tier, including the $69 Starter plan. Walla charges $429 for guided migration and states its free self-guided onboarding doesn’t include migration support at all. Walla says a typical migration takes four to eight weeks.
How much does Walla cost per month?
Walla charges $320 per month per location for Core and $599 for Pro. A branded app is $149 a month plus a $500 build fee, two-way texting is $100, and a website is $199 a month or a $2,800 one-time build.
Is WellnessLiving cheaper than Walla?
Yes, at every tier, though by less than the headline suggests. WellnessLiving runs $69, $199, and $349 a month against Walla’s $320 and $599 per location. WellnessLiving charges extra for a website, on-demand video, and a white-label app without publishing those prices, so ask before you compare.
Does Walla include a website?
No. Walla offers website and SEO services as a $199-a-month add-on on any plan, or a full build for $2,800 one time. Booking widgets that embed into a site you already own are included on every plan. WellnessLiving works the same way, selling its Presence website as a separate add-on.
Does Walla charge transaction fees on top of the subscription?
No. Walla passes through standard Stripe processing only, at 2.9% plus 30 cents online or 2.7% plus 5 cents on its terminal, and states it adds nothing on top. It also charges clients no booking or first-time fees. Confirm on a demo.
