Loren Greenwood owns Cat Cow Pilates, a group reformer studio in New Zealand, with 10 reformers and classes running since February 2024. She started the studio from scratch, and OfferingTree is the only system she’s ever used to run it.

The challenge
Starting a business from scratch, with zero tech experience
When Loren opened Cat Cow Pilates in February 2024, she was building everything at once: the physical space, the class schedule, and the systems to run it all. She’d never built a website or set up a booking platform before, and she wasn’t willing to spend her limited time and money piecing together separate tools for each job.
Before choosing OfferingTree, Loren spoke with another provider that offered a similar feature set. The sales process gave her pause.

Loren set her waitlist window to nine hours, with the waitlist automatically closing 60 minutes before class starts. Students on the list can still book themselves in manually if a spot opens closer to class time, which she says keeps things fair and clear for everyone.
The system now runs in the background of Loren’s mornings.
I don’t really have to think about anything. I just arrive to class, open my app, and everything works well. I just arrive and the right people are there, and I check them in, and it’s easy.
She’s since layered in automations for her intro packs and new membership sign-ups, so students get the information they need without her sending it one by one. She also relies on OfferingTree’s reporting tools to track membership numbers, holds, and weekly and monthly trends, numbers her business coach now has her reviewing every week.
When something doesn’t work the way she expects, Loren emails OfferingTree’s support team, often every week or two. Being based in New Zealand, she worried support might lag behind US business hours. It hasn’t.
“I think it’s super timely. You’re never sort of left wondering if you’re going to get a response, you always do. I haven’t had any issues with being in a different time zone.”
The results
Steady growth, and a business that runs itself
Loren’s membership has grown by 50%, with a goal of reaching 200 by the end of the year. She’s intentional about pacing that growth rather than chasing it as fast as possible.
“If it goes too fast, you lose some of the essence of maybe why people came to you in the first instance,”
Retention is her focus, especially through winter and the busy weeks around Christmas. Loren runs member participation challenges during those stretches, using add-on packs so members can join in without changing their membership.
The time savings have added up. Loren no longer manually confirms waitlists, tracks membership numbers by hand, or emails every new member the studio’s policies one at a time. She’s confident enough in the platform that she referred a friend who runs a bar fitness studio, and she regularly recommends OfferingTree to other studio owners online.
