Mindbody and Punchpass are both studio software, and they represent close to opposite answers about what studio software should be. Mindbody is the industry’s enterprise platform: a consumer marketplace, a hundred integrations, multi-location tooling, and pricing that mostly lives inside a sales call. Punchpass is a deliberately simple class-management tool from an independent company whose contact button says “Talk to a Human,” with every price on the page and nothing to negotiate.
If you’re deciding between them, the question isn’t which one has more features, because Mindbody wins that in a landslide and it doesn’t settle anything. The question is what your studio actually needs to run, and what each dollar covers. Here’s both, verified from each company’s own pricing page, plus a third option that sits within a few dollars of Punchpass and covers considerably more ground.
What is Punchpass?
Punchpass is class management and booking software built for independent studios: yoga, Pilates, fitness, dance, pole, aerial, and arts studios, by their own list. It handles class schedules, passes and punch cards, online reservations with waitlists and standing reservations, private sessions, live online classes, check-ins, waivers, email communication, and reporting, and it embeds into the website you already have.
The company deserves its reputation for straight dealing. Every tier is published. The only fee you pay Punchpass is the subscription; payments run through Stripe at Stripe’s standard rates with nothing added. Plans are month-to-month, you can cancel anytime and take your data with you, there’s a 14-day trial with no credit card, and free data migration support is included on every tier, even the cheapest one. Unlimited classes, passes, and instructors come standard everywhere. In a category that runs on quote gates and add-on stacking, Punchpass simply tells you things, and that’s worth naming as the genuine virtue it is.
Punchpass pricing in 2026: plans, costs, and limits

| Flow | $99/mo | Adds recurring memberships, workshop and event tickets, multi-day series, discount codes, gift passes, donation-based passes, family accounts, 10 automations, 20,000-minute video library, Mailchimp and MailerLite integrations |
| Pro | $149/mo | Adds custom intake forms, customizable homepage, customer tagging, custom fields, unlimited automations, 30,000-minute video library |

Read the table twice, because the tier logic lives in the details. Memberships, the recurring revenue engine of most studios, start at Flow, and so do donation-based passes and gift passes. The video content library is measured in minutes and capped on every tier, including the top one. Automations are capped at three and then ten until you reach Pro. Text message reminders don’t appear anywhere in Punchpass’s feature table; communication is email. And there’s no website builder, because Punchpass is designed to live inside a website you bring, which means the website itself, and whatever you pay for it, sits outside every number in that table.
None of those boundaries is hidden and none is a trick. They’re the honest edges of a focused tool, and for a studio whose needs fit inside them, Punchpass at $59 or $99 is a fair deal from a likable company.

Mindbody pricing and the marketplace, explained
Mindbody is the opposite bet: the platform that does everything, for businesses big enough to need everything. Its consumer app marketplace puts your studio in front of more than 3 million active users, which nothing else in the category matches, and around it sit 100+ integrations, enterprise reporting, multi-location and franchise tooling, and AI features on the upper tiers. The marketplace lists you beside every competitor in your area, and per Mindbody’s own FAQ, fees can apply when a new client discovers you through the app, at a rate their site doesn’t publish, so ask for it in writing if you take the sales call.
The pricing mirrors the complexity. One number is public, $79 per month per location for the Starter plan, and the Accelerate and Ultimate tiers, where advanced reporting and marketing automation live, are quote-only. Your real total, per their FAQ, is the base plan plus add-ons plus transaction-related fees. Kristin, who ran her studio on it for years before switching, summarizes the lived experience more efficiently than any feature grid:
“I had never really loved Mindbody… it’s just clunky, but it is what it is. It was a pretty quick learning curve so far with OfferingTree.”
For a small independent studio, the Mindbody question usually isn’t whether it’s powerful. It’s whether you want to pay enterprise prices, and learn an enterprise system, for the fraction of it you’d use.
Punchpass and OfferingTree compared: what the same $100 covers
Here’s the comparison that actually decides this for most wellness studios, and it comes down to two numbers a few dollars apart.
Punchpass Flow costs $99 a month. OfferingTree’s Studio Starter plan costs $100 a month billed annually, or $120 billed monthly. For roughly the same money, the boxes contain different things. At $99, Punchpass Flow gives you excellent class management with memberships, a 20,000-minute video cap, ten automations, email-only communication, and a website that remains your separate project and expense. At $100, OfferingTree Studio Starter includes the website builder and hosting, unlimited on-demand video, email marketing plus automated text reminders, class and appointment scheduling, payments at standard Stripe rates with no platform fee, and free hands-on data migration, with donation-based and sliding-scale pricing built in rather than gated to a middle tier.
The same comparison holds below studio scale. A solo teacher weighing Punchpass Grow at $59 can look at OfferingTree’s Pro plan at $49 a month billed annually ($59 monthly), where the website, unlimited video, and marketing are in the box, on the pricing page next to every other tier. OfferingTree was built by wellness professionals for exactly these businesses, and the design shows in the same place Punchpass’s does: what comes standard.
Fairness cuts both ways, so here’s the other side. If you already have a website you love and your needs genuinely fit inside Punchpass’s caps, Punchpass is a fine home run by people who clearly care, and switching for switching’s sake helps nobody. The hundred-dollar question is only worth asking if you’re paying for a website, an email tool, or video hosting somewhere else, because then the same money is buying you less than it could.
Mindbody vs Punchpass vs OfferingTree: which should you choose?
If you run a class-based studio, your website already exists and earns its keep, and your needs fit inside published caps you can read for yourself, Punchpass is the simple, honest tool in this matchup at $59 to $149 a month from an independent company that answers its own support emails.
If you operate a multi-location or multi-service business and marketplace discovery is central to how you acquire clients, Mindbody is the enterprise answer, entered with every number, including the marketplace fee, in writing.
And if you want Punchpass-style transparency with the website, unlimited video, and marketing inside the same subscription, OfferingTree sits right beside Punchpass on price and was built for wellness businesses specifically. Every tier is published, from $26 a month for individuals. Start a free trial and build your real schedule, or watch a demo first.
Frequently asked questions about Mindbody vs Punchpass
Is Punchpass cheaper than Mindbody?
At the entry level, yes, and more importantly it’s knowable: Punchpass publishes all three tiers ($59, $99, and $149/month as of July 2026) with no platform transaction fees, while Mindbody publishes only its $79/month-per-location Starter price, with higher tiers quoted and transaction-related fees per their FAQ. For a small studio, Punchpass nearly always costs less in practice; at multi-location enterprise scale, the comparison stops being meaningful because that’s not the business Punchpass is in.
Can Punchpass replace Mindbody for a small studio?
For a class-based studio, often yes. Punchpass covers schedules, passes, waitlists, check-ins, private sessions, and (from the Flow tier) recurring memberships and event tickets, with free data migration support included on every plan and no contract to break if it doesn’t work out. What you give up is Mindbody’s consumer marketplace listing, its 100+ integrations, and its enterprise reporting. If those aren’t driving revenue for you today, the replacement is realistic.
What does Mindbody have that Punchpass doesn't?
The consumer marketplace is the big one: an app with 3M+ active users where new clients can discover your studio, which Punchpass deliberately doesn’t offer. Beyond that, Mindbody brings 100+ third-party integrations, multi-location and franchise tooling, enterprise reporting, and AI features on its upper tiers. The trade is complexity and quote-based pricing against Punchpass’s published simplicity.
What are the limits of Punchpass compared to an all-in-one platform?
Per Punchpass’s own plan table: video content libraries are capped in minutes on every tier (10,000 / 20,000 / 30,000), automations are capped until the top tier (3 / 10 / unlimited), text message reminders aren’t offered on any plan, there’s no website builder (Punchpass embeds into a site you already have), and memberships, gift passes, and donation-based passes start at the $99 Flow tier. All-in-one wellness platforms like OfferingTree include the website, unlimited video, and text reminders in the subscription.
How hard is it to switch from Mindbody to Punchpass?
Easier than most switches, on paper: Punchpass includes free data migration support on every plan (their FAQ says to contact them after signup and they’ll handle your customer list import at no additional cost), offers a 14-day trial with no credit card, and runs month-to-month, so there’s no contract risk in testing it. The practical work is exporting your Mindbody data cleanly, picking a quiet week, and telling your clients how to log in before the cutover.
Is Punchpass or Mindbody better for a yoga studio?
For a small independent yoga studio, Punchpass fits far better of the two: it’s built for exactly that world, priced for it, and simple enough to run between classes. Mindbody makes sense when a yoga business is part of a larger multi-service or multi-location operation that leans on marketplace discovery. Yoga studios that want the website, unlimited on-demand video, and text reminders inside the same subscription usually end up comparing a wellness all-in-one like OfferingTree at a similar monthly price.
What's a middle option between Punchpass and Mindbody?
OfferingTree occupies that middle deliberately: more included than Punchpass (website builder and hosting, unlimited on-demand video, email marketing plus automated text reminders, donation and sliding-scale pricing on every plan) without Mindbody’s enterprise pricing or complexity. Every tier is published, from $26/month for individuals to $100–$225/month for studios billed annually, with no platform transaction fee on Pro, Pro Plus, and Studio plans, and free hands-on migration.
