The best barre studio software in 2026

Trying to figure out what barre studio software is best for your and your unique barre studio shouldn’t be as big of a hassle as it is. Websites obfuscate their features and prices, and don’t give you an easy answer upfront. We made this comparison guide to help you look at your options with the facts laid out. We opened each vendor's own pricing page to help put everything side-by-side for you to compare.

What does barre studio software actually need to do?

Barre studio software is class-based studio management software, meaning scheduling, capacity-capped booking with waitlists, recurring membership billing, class packs, and instructor payroll, that is specifically tailored for the needs of a barre studio.

There are so many things that bigger, comprehensive studio software companies focus on that don’t matter for barre studios, like equipment-specific reservations, and then things that do really matter for barre businesses get overlooked.

There are six core things that a barre studio often wants from its barre studio software:

There are a lot of things a barre studio software doesn’t need. No equipment reservations, no belt tracking, no door access, no dynamic pricing. If a platform charges you extra for those, you're funding somebody else's gym.

Which platforms are the best barre studio software in 2026?

There are seven platforms we saw online that were core contenders.

Mindbody publishes exactly one number: starting at $79 a month per location. All three tiers say "Let's talk” though and requires a demo to learn more. Assume that $79 is the lowest possible floor, not necessarily your actual price.

Vagaro is priced per bookable calendar. One is included, each additional instructor is $10 a month, topping out at $90 for seven or more with staff beyond that free. Cheap on the surface, though the website, the online shopping cart, and a long menu of other add-ons are all separate line items. A demo is needed if you want multi-location business support.

WellnessLiving publishes all three tiers. It starters at $69/mo for one staff member at Starter, and then increases to $199/mo for more features and unlimited staff. They also have a $349/mo business pro plan which includes a client app, and an Enterprise tier that requires a demo. They do have additional add-ons for additional fees, including a custom website, on-demand, and live online classes.

Walla has the most expensive barrier to entry with $320/mo/location. This Core tier does include unlimited users and a handful of advanced features. The next tier is $599/mo/location for Pro, which adds a full marketing suite and custom automations, unlimited audience segmentation, lead tracker and sales tools, a branded app, and other similarly advanced features. It does also have some add-ons, including onboarding services, working sessions, and a $2,800 website build.

Punchpass has unlimited instructors, waitlists, and client import help on every plan. The lowest plan is Grow at $59/mo, but most barre gyms will need recurring memberships, which start at the second tier, Flow for $99/mo. Above that is Pro at $149/mo, and includes a customizable home page, customer tagging, and custom fields.

Gymdesk prices by how many active members you have rather than teachers, and every plan includes every feature plus a website. For 50 active members its $75/month, 51-100 members is $100/mo, 101-200 members is $150/mo, 201-400 members is $200/mo, and more than that requires a demo. Door access and a branded app are an additional add-on, and more locations costs more.

OfferingTree publishes six tiers with the website, scheduling, memberships, class packs, and unlimited on-demand video in all of them. Onboarding and data migration are free and handled by a real person, and plans are month-to-month with no contract. Individual pricing is $26/mo, $49/mo, and $83/mo for different features, while studios pay $100/mo, $150/mo, or $225/mo at most depending on what features they need.

How much does barre studio software cost?

Anywhere from $26/mo for the lowest tier on OfferingTree, to over $600/mo for some of the companies that require a demo for true pricing. A lot of your cost when it comes to barre studio software depends on what you need. If you are okay with the basics and don’t need too much to run your barre studio, you can get away with paying a pretty small amount for most of the tools you need to be successful.

When looking, remember that the advertised entry price isn’t always what you will need to pay depending on what features you need. The website, for example, can be a huge cost if the platform doesn’t require it as a baseline item.

Do you need software built specifically for barre?

No. The platforms that market a barre page are usually running the same product they sell to Pilates and cycling studios, with different photos.

Barre doesn't need equipment-slot booking the way reformer Pilates does. There's no specific equipment to assign. What barre does need is a class that fills fast, a waitlist that manages itself, and a strong ability to market things like an intro offer or winback sequences. Look for these features and anything else that has specifically worked for your studio in the past when evaluating software.

How do waitlists, class packs, and intro offers work in barre studio software?

A waitlist should promote the next person automatically the moment a spot opens, notify them, and give them a window to confirm before it moves down the list. Not all platforms offer this, it is a great first thing to check when demoing a software.

One studio owner we talked to found this out while comparing platforms: "waitlist is such a pivotal part of a fitness class, you're telling me I have to pay extra for that? How does that make sense?"

Class packs are important as well to success especially when competing against things like ClassPass. Making sure they have an expiry date is also helpful.

Intro offers and other marketing strategies are where the money is. Limit the offer to new clients, cap it at one purchase, and build a follow-up sequence. One owner, Valerie, described her sequence this way: "If they bought the intro offer, email them on day one, email them on day five, call them on day seven."

What happens to your schedule and client list when you switch barre studio software?

Migration experiences totally differ from software to software. In most cases, classes and client lists can move over in a few days. The part that can really get messy are the stored credit cards.

Usually what happens is that the platform you are moving from has the card data encrypted, and to get them to hand it off to your new software is where the delays come in.

Kristin, a boutique hot yoga studio owner who moved an eleven-year-old client list between two of the platforms on this list, said: "I think migration is a huge thing... it became so much more stressful than I anticipated."

What actually helps: pick a week that is slower, get your card migration confirmed in writing before you announce anything, and turn every automated email off before you turn the new system on. Then turn them back on one at a time.

Migration support varies. Punchpass, Gymdesk, WellnessLiving, and OfferingTree include it, Walla charges $429 for the onboarding tier that has it, and Mindbody handles conversion through its sales process. Ask about it before you sign with any software.

Whatever you're leaning toward, build your real class schedule inside the trial first. Put next week's actual timetable in, cap a class, and watch a waitlist work before you move a single client. Start a free trial of OfferingTree and try it on your own schedule.
