Our Commitment to Responsible AI

We didn’t add AI to OfferingTree because it’s trendy. We added it because we watched our customers spend hours on tasks that kept them from the work they actually care about like teaching, coaching, healing, building community.

That said, we take the responsibility seriously. AI raises real questions about privacy, the environment, and the role technology should play in industries built on human connection. Here’s where we stand.

Our Commitments

Here’s a summary of what we’re committing to, in plain language:

Privacy: Your data isn’t used to train AI.

Environment: We offset the carbon and water impact of our AI tools at over 100x our projected usage through verified environmental organizations.

Control: Every AI feature is optional. You choose when and how to use them.

Transparency: We’ll tell you what our AI does, how it works, and what data it uses. If anything changes, we’ll update this page and let you know.

Intentional Design: We only build AI features that solve real problems and keep you in the driver’s seat.

Your Data Stays Yours

This is the one we know you’re wondering about, so let’s start here.

We do not use your data to train AI models.

Your client lists, class schedules, website content, conversations with our AI tools, and every other piece of information you trust us is not feed into an AI training process. Our AI provider’s commercial terms (learn about Anthropic’s privacy terms here) guarantee the same protection on their end: your inputs and outputs are not used for model training.

In the interest of full transparency: Your conversations with our AI tools may be reviewed by humans on our team to troubleshoot issues, improve your experience, and make sure things are working the way they should.

None of this is about training AI on your data. These reviews are about quality, safety, and making sure we’re delivering on our promises to you.

We’re Compensating Our Estimated Environmental Impact

AI uses energy and water. We’re not going to pretend it doesn’t.

Rather than hand-wave about it, we’ve put real commitments behind it. We support verified environmental organizations to compensate for the carbon and water footprint of our AI tools at more than 100 times our estimated usage.

To help us compensate 100x for our estimated water usage, we are supporting the Bonneville Environmental Foundation™ through their Water Restoration Certificate® program.

To help us compensate 100x for our estimated carbon usage, we are supporting reforestation efforts.

That’s not a typo. We’re compensating at over 100x our estimated environmental impact because we believe companies that introduce new technology owe more than the minimum.

We’ll continue to monitor, measure, and adjust these commitments as our AI tools grow.

You Stay in Control

Every AI feature we build at OfferingTree follows one rule: you’re the decision-maker.

Our AI tools are here to help you get past the blank page, save time on repetitive tasks, and remove technical barriers. They are not here to replace your voice, make choices for you, or automate the human parts of your business.

If you don’t want to use AI features, you don’t have to. Every AI tool we offer is optional, and the rest of OfferingTree works exactly the same without them.

We’re Transparent About What AI Can and Can’t Do

AI isn’t magic. It’s a tool with real strengths and real limits.

Our AI features can help you build a website faster, draft content to get you started, and handle technical tasks that used to eat your afternoon. What they can’t do is understand your students the way you do, capture the feel of your studio, or replace the relationships you’ve built.

We’ll always be upfront about what our AI tools do, how they work, and where they fall short. If something changes, we’ll tell you.

We Build with Intention

Not every task needs AI, and we don’t think every feature should have it. Before we add AI to anything, we ask ourselves:

Does this keep our customers in control?

Does this solve a real problem?

Does this save time without adding complexity?

We’d rather have fewer AI features that genuinely help than a long list of AI features nobody asked for.
