Best CRM for yoga studios: which platforms actually track the client relationship?
You can look at your schedule right now and see who's booked into Tuesday's 6pm. What you can’t always see is who used to come three times a week and hasn't been in since July.
A good CRM can provide you with insights that you never knew that you needed.

What benefit does a CRM provide to a yoga studio that booking software doesn't?
Booking software keeps a record of transactions, showing who made the booking, who made the payment, and who turned up. A yoga studio's customer relationship management system, on the other hand, keeps track of the relationship over time by noting how frequently each client visits, what items they have purchased, what has been said between them, and any signs that a particular person may be on the verge of drifting.
For instance, the booking system will indicate that Priya purchased a 10-pack in March, while the CRM shows that she has three classes remaining, hasn't attended one for five weeks, and although she opened your most recent two emails did not book one.
Most studio platforms do the first job well. The difference between them is how much of the second job they do, and whether it costs extra. If you're still comparing platforms on booking alone, our guide to yoga scheduling software covers that side.
Is a yoga CRM the same thing as yoga studio management software?
Not quite. A yoga CRM is ofen under the umbrella of yoga studio management software, but can also stand alone.
Studio management software is a broad category: scheduling, payments, memberships, a client list, usually email, sometimes a website. Almost every platform in that category includes some CRM module, because you can't sell a class pack without a record of who bought it.
A standalone yoga CRM is more limited in scope; it functions as a contact database with communication and automation features, and it doesn't handle booking arrangements or process payments. To get attendance information, it must link to a booking system.
Most studios aren't choosing whether to buy a CRM, they are looking at a CRM inside of a larger platform. If you're comparing whole platforms rather than the CRM piece, start with our yoga studio software guide and come back here for the CRM details.
When does a yoga studio actually outgrow booking-only software?
The easy answer: usually between 50 to 100 active clients.
When you have less than that, you know your regulars. Without software, you can notice when someone has been gone longer than usual.
Once you start growing, you stop being able to mentally track your clients. On top of that, you may have multiple instructors who each understand a part of the studio. Often, the clients you lose at this stage just disappear without anyone knowing (until their subscription renewal doesn’t go through).
You can read a story about a similar situation in our Limitless Studio case study.
What CRM features should a yoga studio try out before making a purchase?
1. Client record depth: If you dig into an individual client profile, can you see things like notes, their waivers, their remaining time until next subscription, or their attendance history?
2. Segmentation by attendance: Can you build a list based on your members who haven’t been to a class in ‘x’ days?
3. Automated triggers: You may have the ability to send out a newsletter, but can you set up emails that go to any client when their class pack only has two classes left? Look for automations that start from a client action (a purchase, a booking, a gap in bookings).
4. At-risk and lapsed detection: Does the software automatically flag for you when someone is at risk of leaving? Or do you have to look for it?
For how these fit into the rest of running a studio, our yoga business software page walks through the full stack. OfferingTree's own client management tools are where you'd run this checklist on us.

What should a small studio or solo teacher use instead for their yoga CRM?
If you have fewer than 50 active clients, you don't need a crazy CRM. You just need one place that already has your clients in it.
A solo teacher with 30 regulars doesn't need at-risk prediction; she needs her booking, payments and email in one login so that when she does notice someone's been gone a while, the note and the message are one click apart. OfferingTree's individual plans start at $26/month billed annually and include client management, email, and automations, so the relationship tools are there when you're ready to use them.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best CRM for yoga studios?
The best CRM for a yoga studio is the one inside a platform that also runs your schedule and payments. OfferingTree, Arkera, Punchpass, Mindbody, and Momence are often cited as potential options.
Do I need a separate CRM if my software already has client management?
No, not if your software's client management can segment by attendance, trigger messages from client actions, and flag lapsed clients on its own.
How much does a yoga studio CRM cost?
Built into a studio platform, it's part of the plan price: OfferingTree studio plans run $100 to $225 a month with the CRM included on every tier.
