Sinead O’Connor

Sinead O'Connor (she/her), BA Hons, RYT-200, is a yoga teacher, writer, and Community Manager at OfferingTree, living and working in Calgary, Canada.

Her yoga practice started for the most ordinary reason. In her early twenties, long shifts behind a bar in New York City left her mentally and physically wrung out, and constant back pain finally pushed her onto a mat. Like a lot of people, she came to yoga for her body and stayed for everything else.

Originally from Manchester, UK, Sinead now teaches as Yoga with Sinead in Mahogany, southeast Calgary. She specializes in pelvic health, a focus that began during her initial teacher training and has become the center of her teaching. Her classes are mindful rather than performative. She is upfront that you will not find headstands in them, but you will find strength, balance, and a post-class glow.

She has also run the business side. As a former yoga studio manager and a working teacher, Sinead has done the filling of classes, the hiring, the bookkeeping, and the marketing, and that is the experience she brings to everything she writes. She moved her own yoga website to OfferingTree in 2019 and joined the marketing team soon after.

Since then she has written extensively for OfferingTree on yoga, wellness, and marketing, covering how to price group classes, how to build a more sustainable teaching income, how to create and sell on-demand content, and how new teachers get hired. As Community Manager she built OfferingTree's studio business community and its top-performing webinar programme, and she manages the company's social media accounts and works behind the scenes on partnerships and community spaces to keep things cohesive.
